Mr. White has been a police officer for over sixteen years in a suburb of the Cleveland, Ohio, area. In 2013, he became a member of the Valley Enforcement Groups Accident Investigation Unit (VEG AIU).  During his time on the VEG AIU, Mr. White has become skilled at investigating traffic crashes involving pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, motor vehicles, and commercial vehicles.

Mr. White is responsible for handling all serious traffic accidents within his jurisdiction and reviewing all other traffic accident reports filed by his department.  As part of Mr. White’s police duties, he is the Assistant Team Commander of VEG AIU.  The VEG AIU responds to and reconstructs serious injury and fatal traffic-related accidents within the 15 communities in three Ohio counties, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Summit.

Mr. White not only has experience in traffic crash investigation and reconstruction, he is a Motor Officer for his department. Mr. White was also a firearms instructor and is currently a Field Training Officer.

Formerly, Mr. White was a Special Agent for the United States Secret Service Office of Investigations assigned to the New York City Field Office.  Mr. White had a wide variety of assignments during his time in the U.S. Secret Service, including investigating crimes against the financial infrastructure of the United States, protective assignments to current and former presidents and vice presidents of the United States, and foreign heads of state.  Mr. White has also had protective assignments that have taken him all over the world and have afforded him the opportunity to work with a variety of law enforcement agencies.

Mr. White has an undergraduate degree from Muskingum University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Mr. White has also earned his Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Information Technology Management from Lake Erie College.   Furthermore, Mr. White has training and specialized education such as:

  • Basic Motor Officer from the Northwestern Center for Public Safety held in conjunction with Harley Davidson Motorcycles and hosted by the Toledo Police Department.

  • Traffic Crash Investigation, Levels I and II from the Ohio State Highway Patrol

  • Vehicle Dynamics from the Ohio Police Officer’s Training Academy (O.P.O.T.A.)

  • Traffic Crash Reconstruction from O. P. O.T.A.

  • Acceleration and Vericom Familiarization from Vericom Computers, Inc.

  • Firearms Instructor

  • Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI Statutory Review)

  • Advanced Roadside Impairment Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.)

Mr. White is qualified to work on any type of motor vehicle crash, but he has a particular interest in motorcycle and commercial vehicle crash investigations.  Mr. White is an avid motorcycle rider, personally and professionally, with over twenty-five years of riding experience, which adds to his knowledge of these particular crash investigations.
