Mr. Nyce founded Impact Crash Reconstruction in 2021 after working part-time for nearly ten years with a well-respected traffic crash investigation company.  During that time, he learned how to work on both the civil and the criminal sides of traffic crashes involving pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, motor vehicles, and commercial vehicles.  


Mr. Nyce is currently an active full-time police officer with over 20 years of experience working in a suburban community on the east side of Cleveland.  Mr. Nyce is responsible for handling all serious traffic accidents within his jurisdiction and reviewing and approving all other traffic accident reports filed by his department.  As part of his police duties, Mr. Nyce is the Team Commander of the Valley Enforcement Group, Accident Investigation Unit known as VEG AIU.  The VEG AIU responds to and reconstructs serious injury and fatal traffic-related crashes within the 15 communities that belong to the group.


Mr. Nyce's police experience is not limited to traffic crash investigations.  He is a certified bicycle patrol officer and recently (2020) became his department's first K-9 handler.  Mr. Nyce works with a German Shepherd certified in narcotics detection and general patrol.  


Mr. Nyce attended Lakeland Community Colleges' two-year police academy and obtained his Ohio Peace Officer Training Certification and an Associate Degree of Applied Science; Criminal Justice in 1997.  Mr. Nyce also received the prestigious ACTAR accreditation (Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction) in July of 2014.  (ACTAR #2632)

Mr. Nyce is qualified to work on any type of motor vehicle crash; however, he has a particular interest in pedestrian and bicycle crash investigations.  Mr. Nyce is an avid cyclist and has participated in several organized bicycle rides, increasing his knowledge in this type of crash investigation.
